Ethnic Community Development (SG98296)

To assist Philippines SIM workers, churches and organizations to provide community-based outreach strategies to reach out and minister to the Ethnic communities in the Philippines, and equipping workers among them, and mobilizing and training for cross cultural ministry.

In partnership with churches and organizations, we are making disciples of Jesus Christ by engaging communities where He is least known, ministering to and equipping workers among them, and mobilizing and training for cross-cultural ministry. In keeping with our country vision statement, this project is designed to assist Philippines SIM workers and partners to be able to provide community-based outreach strategies to reach out and minister to the Ethnic communities in the Philippines.

These strategies that support the Ethnic Ministry in the Philippines have been identified in strategic planning meetings held in Manila in August 2018 and include such things as feeding assistance, educational assistance, Bible storying, music and arts, sports, activities, chaplaincy, livelihood, savings/coop groups, medical/dental clinics, outreach events, counseling, visitations, translation, literacy, media, seminars, discipleships, youth activities, legal assistance, mentoring, and youth ministry strategies.

These funds will help:

  • to meet the needs of 120 youth and children are ministered by the teams

  • to provide support services, member-care and other mission-related services with the sponsored children and their parents
